Starting a business can be confusing and overwhelming. Often we get so overwhelmed from where to start that we don’t even start.

Don’t let our ideas go to waste, and let’s get clear on where and how to start a business!

✨ Find your passion and purpose 

Every great business starts with a passion. Ask yourself:

  • What are you passionate about?
  • What problems do you want to solve?
  • How can you make a difference in your industry or community?

Your passion will be your driving force, especially during challenging times.

🔍 Research your market

Understanding the market is crucial.

  • Identify your target audience and understand their needs.
  •  Understand market trends and demands.

This will help you to find people who want and need what you are selling.

📊 Develop a Business Plan 

A business plan is your roadmap to success. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and it should include:

  • Your products or services
  • Costs of your business
  • Your prices and how much you need to earn so that your business can survive
  • Your target audience
  • Where to find your target audience
  • Marketing and selling plan

Your first business plan shouldn’t and won’t be perfect and don’t stress about it, it just has to make you start going, and it has to be open for changes!

💰 Secure Funding 

Determine how much capital you need to start and sustain your business. Just in case, have a plan B. First 3 to 6 months are the hardest.

🏢 Choose a Business Structure 

Decide the legal structure of your business. Common options include:

  • Sole proprietorship.
  • Partnership.
  • Limited Liability Company (LLC). 
  • Corporation.

Each structure has its pros and cons, so choose wisely based on your business needs. Search for advice from a reliable accountant.

🌟 Create your Brand 

Your brand is your business identity. It consists from:

  • Name and your logo.
  • Brand values and your tagline.
  • Developing a visual identity and the tone of your brand.

Think of a brand as a person, what someone will feel when they meet your brand? What do you want them to feel?

📣 Plan your marketing strategy

Effective marketing is key to attracting customers. Your marketing strategy has to be adaptable and actionable. 

This is the most important part when you are starting a business because it will bring you clients. 

But how you can promote your business?

  • Social media marketing.
  • Search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Email marketing.
  • Paid advertising.
  • Influencer marketing.

Where to start? Whatever you feel like the right choice. If you know how to do any of it, even better!

🤝 Network and Build Relationships 

Networking is crucial. Connect with:

  • Other entrepreneurs.
  • Industry experts.
  • Potential customers.
  • Mentors and advisor.

Attend events, join online forums, and be active in your community to build lasting relationships. Facebook groups can be super valuable when it comes to networking.
